Skipper Mike Raymond was extremely 'content' with his first place result in last Sunday's Mieco Beach Yacht Club race, while his wife Kathleen was jumping for joy at the awards ceremony.

Raymond's ketch, which is called Content, won the race on handicap with a time almost five minutes less than his closest competitor, SawLeeAh ( skipper Rod Caple), which took line honors and second place.

Third place went to Seal (Cary Evarts), fourth to Po'Oino Roa (Kathy McGraw), fifth to Navi-Gator (Joe McCarthy) and sixth to Windswept (Richard Barrie).

Following the yachts around the course was committee boat True Blue, which has been donated (with crew) by local members of the Royal Australian Navy.

All the skippers and some lucky crew won great prizes at the awards ceremony held at the clubhouse (a.k.a. the Marshall Islands Resort) after the race.

The tentative date for the next yacht race is Sunday, February 11, with the skippers' meeting at the Resort on the Friday before.
